Bupa launches UK ad campaign

TV campaign highlights support services for patients

Private healthcare provider Bupa has launched a new advertising campaign in the UK to highlight its wide range of health services.

The campaign is a response to the growing demand for more holistic care that focuses on the patient rather than a disease and showcases Bupa’s services to provide emotional and practical support and care.

The two areas that feature in Bupa’s two 30-second television advertisements are its cancer survivorship programme and elderly care support line.

The cancer campaign features a young cancer survivor continues to receive support from a Bupa nurse after he has finished treatment, showcasing Bupa’s programme to provide the services of a cancer nurse to patietns and families to offer emotional support and guidance on recovery.

The second campaign features a montage of mother and her daughter growing old together to support Bupa’s support line for elderly care.

Saj Arshad, marketing, sales and strategy director, Bupa UK said: “Our new campaign highlights that Bupa has the healthcare expertise to go above and beyond just paying the bill.”

Bupa’s campaign was developed by London-based marketing agency WCRS, whose other clients include the British Army and the Royal Air Force.

Matt Edwards, chief executive at WCRS said: “Few things we communicate have the emotional weight of cancer survivorship and elderly care, so we’re proud WCRS has helped promote Bupa’s expert support in these areas.”

The new Bupa campaign launched on January 12 and will air on TV until February 22, 2015.
