Burton Paul has been appointed as new client director to global branding agency 1HQ to head up its health division

Paul brings more than 15 years experience in managing projects and clients across a wide range of sectors including FMCG and pharmaceuticals. His work includes brand delivery for some of the biggest names in the sector, most notably: Adcock Ingram, Arrow Generics, BMS, Cephalon, Eusa Pharma, GE Healthcare, King Pharmaceuticals, Mylan, Peptech, SSL (Reckitt Benckiser) and Synpart.  

Mark Artus, CEO of 1HQ, said: “Burton's appointment marks a signal of intent from 1HQ to significantly enhance our existing health and pharma offering. His experience in the pharmaceutical industry will provide 1HQ Health with unrivaled insight into the pharma industry, ensuring we can be a leading branding force within the sector.

He continued: “Burton wanted to join 1HQ because he saw an ever-widening gap between the research and development process and the marketers in the industry, and saw a great opportunity with us and the way we think.”

Paul said: “Semiotics in particular has a huge role to play in the development of pharma products especially in over the counter products. The pharma industry need to think more like retailers; especially as their brands sit on the shelf with all the best household brands, which is an area I am looking forward to developing.”

Paul continued: “Having worked on a global scale across many brands, I have developed a real passion and drive to make a difference. It was important for me to work with a team that shared that vision and I recognise shared core values at 1HQ. It's an exciting time to join the agency and I look forward to developing 1HQ Health into a powerhouse of the branding world.”
