Cello Health has announced further expansion into the US market with the acquisition of New Jersey-based company Innovative Science Solutions, LLC (ISS) on 15 August.
ISS is a scientific consulting firm founded by Steven Weisman, PhD and David Schwartz, PhD nearly 20 years ago. The company specialises in strategic regulatory support for the healthcare industry and scientific support on health-related issues for legal counsel.
The technical service offering includes consultancy at all stages in the regulatory process, support of FDA advisory committee meetings, and data provision in legal defence of patent and intellectual property issues. Its clients are predominantly US based, though the company also supports ex-US based clients with relevant needs in the US market.

The US acquisition reflects ongoing expansion at the London-headquartered firm. Last month it launched Cello Health GmbH, its new Berlin office. The company unveiled two regional directors to lead the business insights and analytics division in Germany: Heike Tombrink – regional director, Head of Cello Health Insight Germany, and Matthias Heurich – regional director, supporting Digital Innovation.
