The 2016 Communiqué Awards have opened for entry and this year several new categories have been added to the prestigious event.
The Communiqué Networked Consultancy of the Year and Charity, Patient or Professional Association of the Year are among the programme's new additions.
Communiqué 2016 adds another new prize in the form of Excellence in Content Management/Curation.
Run by PMLiVE's publisher the PMGroup, the Communiqué Awards are specifically designed to recognise and commend excellence and best practice in local, European and international healthcare communications.
PMGroup events manager Debbie Tuesley said: “After a rigorous review of the programme I'm delighted to unveil the 2016 Communiqué Awards, which this year presents even more opportunities for agencies and charities alike.
“We've also opened the Innovation in Healthcare Communications category for direct entry, giving entrants the opportunity to submit work that might not otherwise fit another category for the first time.”
Each year the awards are judged by panels of experienced healthcare communicators, drawn from the ranks of medical communications agencies, pharmaceutical companies, patient groups and other stakeholders.
This year Anna Korving will reprise her role as chair of judges for a second year.
She said: “I've been involved in the Awards since the very beginning, first as an entrant, then a category judge and now as chair and over the years I have been impressed by the seriousness with which all of the judges take their responsibilities, investing huge amounts of time in reviewing entries and providing feedback for every entry on request.
“Each year the organisers review the process and categories with the judges to make sure that they keep pace with our changing environment, taking on board comments and feedback to ensure that the process of judging is both rigorous and fair.”
The Communiqué Awards will be presented at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, on 7 July 2016.
