Digitalk: Making pharma part of the conversation

Exclusive coverage and video footage from the second Digitalk breakfast meeting
Digital isn't new, but what does it truly mean? Most of us own a variety of electronic devices - from our standard desktop computers to the music-playing, internet-browsing, satellite-navigating smartphones in our pockets or handbags.

Digital is an integral part of our everyday lives, but pharma hasn't been so quick to embrace this change.

Through a series of breakfast meetings, Digitalk will look at what pharma can learn from its consumer cousins and how the industry can engage with its audience more effectively through the multitude of digital media and communications tools available.

At the second Digitalk session, held in December, the RAPP team focused on social media. Topics covered included the challenges and the risks faced by pharma companies when engaging via social media and included information about the regulatory impacts on this medium. The session also included a series of useful case studies.

The videos below contain the highlights of the sessions.

Were you there? What did you think?

"The Digitalk event was very good, offered a good opportunity to ask questions of the panel, and a great opportunity to network with your peers."

The first Digitalk session touched on some of the issues preventing pharma from diving in to digital, as well as looking at the importance of some key tactics such as search engine optimisation (SEO) and external link building. Full coverage and the videos from the session are available to watch online.
