EUnetHTA Stakeholder Forum call

Organisations are invited to express interest in the European network for Health Technology Assessment Joint Action Stakeholder Forum

The European network for Health Technology Assessment  (EUnetHTA) Joint Action (JA) partnership is inviting European organisations to express their interest in participating in the EUnetHTA JA Stakeholder Forum by March 30.

EUnetHTA recognises that different groups and organisations bring key information and experience on both the producing of concrete HTAs and on the various health interventions that could be subject to a HTA and will seek input from stakeholders for the benefit of the decisions and governance in the EUnetHTA JA.

Questions regarding the stakeholder involvement process in the EUnetHTA JA should be directed to the EUnetHTA secretariat.

Selection will be based on eligibility criteria, details of which are available via the EUnetHTA website and successful organisations will be expected to join for the duration of the JA from 2010-2012.

The Plenary Assembly will review the list and the EUnetHTA executive committee will issue formal invitations by April 20.

The current stakeholder policy draft was developed by the EUnetHTA executive committee and based on the draft developed during the EUnetHTA Project (2006-2008), taking into consideration comments received during the preparatory phase of the EUnetHTA JA application and during the meeting on stakeholder involvement in HTA (November 6, 2009) jointly organised by the EUnetHTA Collaboration and DG SANCO of the European Commission.

The current document was further developed and agreed upon by the EUnetHTA executive committee in its meeting in Copenhagen on February 25-26, 2010. The draft document will be presented for discussion and endorsement by the EUnetHTA Plenary Assembly in its meeting in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on May 20-21, 2010, for finalisation later this year.
