Euro RSCG Life acquires stake in Medicom

Euro RSCG Life has acquired a majority stake in Medicom Group, the medical communications group based in West London

Euro RSCG Life has acquired a majority stake in Medicom Group, the award-winning medical communications group based in Hampton Court, West London.

The deal, which brings significant expertise in medical communications and market access to Euro RSCG Life's European and global networks, furnishes Medicom with opportunities to work on a global level.

Both Medicom chairman Martin Ellis and Euro RSCG Life Worldwide managing partner Michel Nakache said they were delighted with the agreement, which sees Ellis and his senior management team remain in place at the UK office.

Between them, Medicom's senior directors retain a proportion of the group, now called Euro RSCG Life Medicom.

Ellis said he was "very happy and proud" to join this international network, but added that the UK agency would be no less focused on delivering the local, domestic market expertise for which it had become renowned.

Medicom Group has twice been recognised as Medical Education Consultancy of the Year at PMGroup's Communiqué Awards (2008 and 2007).

"In terms of our existing clients it's very much business as usual - but now with enhanced benefits for those seeking a truly European or international view, or indeed implementation, for their campaigns," Ellis noted.

"It's the same team of managers and staff doing the same great work, but through the partnership with Euro RSCG Life we can now operate from exciting new international platforms."

Euro RSCG's Nakache, added: "I am delighted to welcome Medicom Group into the Euro RSCG Worldwide network. This will enhance our offering for our clients and prospects in medical communications and market access at both European and global levels."
