Fishawack acquires brand communications agency Healthcircle

The agency will work alongside Fishawack’s medical communication businesses

The Fishawack Group is strengthening its creative services by adding brand communications agency Healthcircle to its offering.

Healthcircle is headquartered in London, UK and is known for its direct-to-patient communications approach, offering digital solutions and medical communications strategies.

The group is a network of medical communications and marketing organisation companies and has a portfolio of pharma and healthcare clients including Roche, Swiss pharma group Helsinn and phytomedicines company Schwabe Pharma Group.

Healthcircle has also worked on a variety of campaigns in the areas of oncology, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and consumer health to name a few.

It already operates globally, but joining Fishawack will allow the group to accelerate growth in the US while bolstering resources.

Mike Taylor, managing director of Healthcircle, said: “We’ve been on the lookout for a partner to support our growth in the US while also providing us access to scientific and strategic talent.”

Healthcircle is familiar with its new parent company however, after it previously worked with the Carling team - an agency serving the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries - that Fishawack acquired in July last year.

Fishawack also operates under four other brands, including Medical communications groups Fishawack Communications and Fishawack Facilitate, specialist publication and scientific services group Fishawack Indicia and US-based JK Associates.

Oliver Dennis, chief executive officer, Fishawack Group, said: “This acquisition is a major step in Fishawack’s plan to build a global strategic creative agency that can work alongside our medical communications business.

“This is a great match and positions us to deliver integrated creative and medical communications solutions on a truly global scale.”
