AXON Communications has taken on seven new members of staff on the back of a buoyant 2015 that saw it grow by 23%.

New starters at the London-headquartered communications agency include Andrew Grigg, who joins its med comms team as a director, and senior programme director Kerry Stringer (both pictured).

Grigg comes to the agency from Bedrock Healthcare Communications, where he was head of medical communications, and brings experience from Publicis Life Brands Resolute and Chameleon Communications.

Meanwhile, Stringer arrives at the agency from Porterhouse Medical and has previously served at Lucid, Apothocom and Ziacom.

AXON Communication’s operations outside the UK have seen growth too, with the appointment of Laura Pittard as a programme director to its Copenhagen office and Cindy Cheung as a medical writer, based in New York.

The agency, which was placed in the top ten of Great Places To Work’s ranking of medium-sized organisations earlier this year, has also recently appointed Lisa Langley as a senior medical writer, James McCary as an editorial assistant / junior medical writer and Thien Ho as an editorial assistant within its UK team.

Miranda Dini, managing partner, said: “It is a very exciting time for AXON and the continued growth of our team is a proof point to our continued business growth.

“We are dedicated to hiring top talent who fit in with our close-knit culture at AXON, and strongly believe that the secret to our success resides largely with our outstanding team. We are welcoming a wealth of talent from different backgrounds, and even from different countries, to join the AXON UK family, and we believe this will strengthen the expertise we can offer to our clients.”
