Havas Group has acquired Freiburg-based health and wellness agency Bird & Schulte Advertising.

The German agency covers a range of sectors including advertising, digital media, events and medical education and will now operate as Havas Life Bird & Schulte.

Donna Murphy, global CEO of Havas Health, said: “Our partnership will combine industry-leading strategy and insight with highly honoured creativity to deliver best-in-class results for our clients with a grater market reach.

“We believe that Bird & Schulte's broad health and wellness brand-building expertise, its deep talent pool and its future-forward business model will add great value for our clients.”

Co-founders of the agency Jeremy Bird and Dr Monika Schulte will continue as joint managing directors of Havas Life Bird & Schulte, which will now look to tap into additional health and wellness clients and markets with Havas Health's backing.

Commenting on the acquisition, Schulte commented: “We are excited to be joining the Havas family. Through shared strategy, planning and account resources provided by Havas Health, Havas Life Bird & Schulte will be able to fulfil the needs of a far more significant client base.

“It allows us to continue our sustained growth while ensuring that we offer the same service, support and quality that our existing clients have come to expect.”
