Hunt to head up Havas expansion on US west coast

New president also announced

Havas H&Y

Havas Lynx Group CEO David Hunt will oversee the expansion of the group, as the new leader of Havas Health & You (HH&Y) on the US West Coast.

HH&Y combines Havas Life, Health4Brands (H4B), Lynx, Havas Life PR and Havas Health Plus, all wholly owned health and communications networks, with the consumer health businesses and practices of Havas Creative Group.

The move comes following a 15-year career with Havas Lynx, where Hunt has had a role in transforming the small creative company into a global healthcare communications agency which has represented, among others, AstraZeneca, Janssen and Novartis.

Donna Murphy, global CEO Havas Health & You, said: “Under David's leadership as CEO, Havas Lynx has quadrupled in size and won Healthcare Agency of the Year at last year’s Cannes Lions. His team’s pioneering work has also been instrumental in the network’s growth and helping to enhance the HH&Y brand. He’s the natural choice to come in and drive our expansion on the West Coast.”

At Havas Lynx Group in the EU, both the Manchester and London offices have new accounts and are undertaking a recruitment drive with 50 new jobs created this year already.

Over the last eighteen months, a new leadership team has also been established as part of the long-term transition plan. This will be lead by the promotion of Elizabeth Egan, who has been promoted to president of the Havas Lynx Group from her previous role as managing director of Havas Lynx London.
