Windsor-based agency Langland swept the board at the 2012 PM Society Advertising Awards in London on Friday, with awards on behalf of Abbott and Bayer among its tally.
Leading the way was the agency’s work for Abbott’s acute diarrhoea treatment Hidrasec, which brought in four wins and a commendation, while Bayer’s multiple sclerosis spasticity treatment Sativex was responsible for two wins and two commendations for Langland.
In total Langland picked up seven wins and 10 commendations at the ceremony, the most of any agency present, making it the third time in the last four years the agency had swept the board.
The ceremony, which was hosted by former MP and broadcaster Gyles Brandreth, also provided cause for celebration at VCCP Health, which took away three trophies, including the Healthcare Industry Award and two commendations.
Neil Smith, PM Society Advertising Awards chairman and head of creative services at Bray Leino Healthcare, said: “Despite the growth in digital communications, there was a healthy crop of new press advertisements and entry standards were high.
“As ever, the truly aspirational creative treatments stand head and shoulders above the rest and their success is reflected by our industry and healthcare judges.
Elsewhere Concentric Advertising scored a rare double, with the same advertisement winning the Target Awards for both Primary and Secondary Care physicians.
Woolley Pau Gyro took home the prestigious Geoff Brook Innovation Award, while Bedgebury, Hanson Zandi, Havas Lynx, Lime and McCann Health also secured a win each.
