Leo Pharma has appointed Geraldine Murphy as managing director for the UK and Ireland, filling the post vacated by Dennis Dencher.
Dencher left the MD role last month to move to a new role at Leo as regional director for mid-north Europe, where he will have responsibility for the dermatology specialist's affiliates in the Nordic and Benelux regions and Poland.
The appointment of Murphy follows Leo's recent global restructure in April that saw widen its focus from Northern Europe to the major global markets.
Murphy moves into the new role from within Leo, where she previously served as regional VP for the North Atlantic region (UK, Canada and Ireland), and has over 20 years of sales, marketing and commercial experience. During this time she also worked at Fisons and Elan.
In her new position, Murphy will report to Joergen Damsbo Andersen, regional VP, sales and marketing Leo Pharma.
Commenting on her new role Murphy said: “I am delighted to be taking charge of the UK & Ireland affiliates at this exciting time. We have a fantastic opportunity to share experiences between our two countries and work closely together to be the preferred dermatology care partner.”
