Lilly UK appoints new corporate affairs director

Thomas Thorp promoted after field-based assignment as regional access manager

Lilly UK has promoted Thomas Thorp to senior director of corporate affairs at the age of just 32.

In his new role Thorp will lead all of Lilly's UK corporate affairs activity, including government affairs, HTA and health outcomes, market access, and oversee and a field-based payer team. 

He joined Lilly in 2007 as European government affairs manager working in Brussels, and from 2008 to 2011 led the company's government and external affairs activity in the UK.

Thorp most recently completed a field based assignment as a regional access manager, focusing on payer activity for Lilly Diabetes.

Prior to joining Lilly Thorp worked at GlaxoSmithKline and then Novartis in Brussels-based government affairs roles.
