NCHA conference to showcase the latest home healthcare developments

October event will take aim at the new future for out-of-hospital care

The National Clinical Homecare Association (NCHA), the industry body for companies involved in providing clinical homecare services to patients of the NHS and independent sectors within the UK, has announced details of its 2013 annual conference.

Entitled Creating the New Future for Out of Hospital Care: Improving Patient Pathways through Homecare, the event takes place on Thursday October 17 at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham.

Now in its third year, the event will showcase the latest developments within home healthcare sector in what is key year in the development and profile for the sector.

During a time of significant change for NHS commissioning and with awareness of the recommendations and impacts of the Homecare Medicines Review at an all-time high, the event will provide greater insight and understanding of how and where home healthcare is delivering innovation solutions across the patient pathway.

The conference programme and featured speakers includes stakeholders across out-of-hospital-care. Industry experts will explain the latest developments in the market and articulate where home healthcare is heading and how it can deliver added value to the NHS, pharma and the patient.

Confirmed speakers include:

• Mark Hackett, CEO at the University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust
• Saffron Cordery, director of policy and strategy, Foundation Trust Network

This year the event format has been changed significantly in order to appeal to a wider audience of stakeholders than ever before and highlight specific examples of collaboration and innovation and support learning and networking opportunities.
