Novasep has named CEO Michel Spagnol as its chairman of the supervisory board.
Spagnol has led the executive team at the French manufacturing firm since June 2013, and will now add supervisory leadership to his role following the departure of former chairman Roger-Marc Nicoud.
During his short time as CEO, Spagnol has already instigated several changes, including the appointments of a new chief financial officer and presidents of both the synthesis business and industrial biotech units.
Prior to joining Novasep, Spagnol was president and chief technology officer at Shasun having previously been with Rhodia.
“Novasep is evolving, with a strong leadership team and a new logo ‘Passion and smart processes’, representing our refocused strategy,” said Spagnol. “We will continue building on our strong foundations while developing on the excellence of our services and technologies. I wish Roger-Marc continued success in his new endeavours.”
