OPEN Health launches market access division

OPEN Access Consulting will be headed by Cathy Wright and Cathy Jarrold

open access consulting logoThe healthcare communications group OPEN Health has launched a dedicated market access division to be called OPEN Access Consulting.

The new unit brings together expertise from two of OPEN Health's existing division, Succinct Medical Communications and pH Associates. It will be headed by joint managing directors Cathy Jarrold, formerly director of market access at pH Associates, and Cathy Wright, formerly director of market access and value at Succinct Medical Communications.

The two issued a joint statement explaining the launch of a unit focused on market access was due to the recognition that “demonstrating value is getting tougher and that there is a requirement from payers, physicians and patients for stronger, more compelling evidence”.

“Our aim is to ensure that all stakeholders involved in the decision-making pathway to fund, prescribe and deliver products and services are considered, and that a robust programme of activities is created to deliver optimal uptake of the product,” added Jarrold and Wright.

The new managing directors also explained that OPEN Access Consulting will work with other division of OPEN Health, including pH Associations and Harvey Walsh.

The new business will be based in Marlow in Buckinghamshire, which is also home to OPEN Health's other divisions
