David Stack, president and CEO of Pacira Pharmaceuticals has joined the board of Medivo, a US-based health monitoring firm for physicians and patients.

“Dave is an experienced and respected leader in the life sciences industry and he brings a vast amount of insight and knowledge about healthcare to our board,” said Sundeep Bhan, CEO and co-founder of Medivo.

“We expect Dave to be a tremendous asset to Medivo's strategic team.”

Stack has been in his position at specialty pharma company Paciro since 2007, and is also the founding partner of Stack Pharmaceuicals – a commercialisation, marketing and strategy firm that serves emerging healthcare companies.

Prior to his time at Paciro, he was president and CEO of The Medicines Company, and president and general manager of Innovex.

He has also held senior positions at Immunomedics and Roche.

“This is a perfect time for me to reconnect with Sundeep and his management team at Medivo,” Stack said.

“We first worked together several years ago and, given the unique business model they have established, I am excited about this opportunity to work with this team again and to help Medivo advance this new patient-care platform.”
