Pharma market research community launched

eVillage, an online pharmaceutical market research community, has been launched by Insight Research Group

eVillage, an online pharmaceutical market research community, has been launched by Insight Research Group. 

This innovative platform has been created to help brands engage with a wide array of healthcare professionals (HCPs) and ultimately patients. eVillage's key aim is to produce “eVillagers” (respondents) who openly share opinions and issues within the secure, invitation-only forum. 

eVillagers can take participate in a range of individual and group activities, which include sharing and exchanging of views on specific healthcare issues. eVillagers can also participate in a several interactive activities, ranging from blogs, video diaries, forums and personal diaries to voting on polls.  

Lee Gazey, commercial development director at Insight Research Group and one of the developers of eVillage, said: "Our clients are constantly asking us how they can really get below the surface and go deeper to better understand HCPs and other key stakeholders. Through eVillage, we have created an innovative platform that will reach HCPs and patients in one place, helping brands to be more efficient when planning and structuring their marketing campaigns, when looking for new product development ideas or directions and when tracking brand or therapy area related issues. We believe that eVillage will transform research, offer flexibility to respondents, stronger relationships between brands and participants and provide deeper insights for our clients."

NHS London recently used eVillage to address late diagnosis of HIV, the lack of awareness and stigma associated with HIV and to encourage more people to get tested. Results showed that eVillagers were far more willing to share thoughts and feelings in this online environment than in previous research. NHS London has used this feedback to plan an awareness campaign addressing the importance of HIV testing across GP surgeries, sexual health clinics, family planning clinics and A&E waiting areas.

eVillage has an established community of UK GPs and physicians, nurses, patients and consumers are all able to participate in this new online community.
