First lung cancer coalition

The first lung cancer coalition in the UK aimed at increasing government funding for the disease is being launched on November 7 at the House of Commons. AstraZeneca UK, Lilly UK and Roche are among the industry members of the UK Lung Cancer Coalition (UKLCC). Cancer Research UK, Marie Curie Cancer Care and the British Lung Foundation join them. The coalition is the biggest collective from industry and charities for lung cancer.

Breaking barriers

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Packer Forbes have launched an awareness campaign at International Herpes Week with the aim of breaking down taboos about the condition, helping people ëseparate fact from fictioní. ëKnow Herpesí is the theme of the sixth annual awareness week which began yesterday (October 31). GSK offices around the world are rolling out local media and public awareness campaigns. Packer Forbes has worked with 50 herpes patient support groups globally at part of the campaign.
