CMP appoints director
The Coalition for Medical Progress (CMP), the group dedicated to promoting animal research, has appointed Jo Tanner as director.

Previously head of media and public affairs at the British Dental Association, Tanner is charged with raising awareness of the CMP among medical professionals.

ìWith nurses handing out prescriptions and pharmacists increasingly questioned about animal testing, we need to arm them with facts,î she said. ìPractically every single prescribed drug has at one point been tested on animals.î
