Two Publicis LifeBrands’ creatives are set to represent the UK at this year’s Young Cannes Lions Print competition taking place at the 65th International Festival of Creativity in Cannes.
Winning a national-level tournament, Publicis LifeBrands copy supervisor Tom Wordley, along with the agency’s junior art director Jon Webb had just 24 hours to showcase their creative skills.
The competition, which was only open to a shortlist of ‘talented’ creatives, saw entrants produce a ‘stand-out’ print advertisement based on a charity brief.
This year’s selected charity was DePaul UK, which aims to help young people affected by homelessness.
Shaheed Peera, executive creative director for Publicis LifeBrands, said: “We believe that we have the best talent in the industry and the right infrastructure to develop superstars and this is a lovely result of all that hard work.
“Everyone in healthcare can be incredibly proud that for the first time in Young Lions history we are representing the best of the UK’s young creative talent.”
Wordley and Webb are the first healthcare creatives to win the UK Young Lions event and ill be competing in Cannes in June.
