Resolute adds to US healthcare team

Beatrice Evangelista, formerly of Biosector 2, has joined Resolute Communications as vice-president in the firm's New York office

Beatrice Evangelista, formerly of Biosector 2, has joined Resolute Communications, an independent, healthcare-focused communications firm, in a move which marks the company's rapid expansion of its US presence.

Evangelista joins as a vice-president within the New York office of UK-based Resolute, which is led by Laurie Hurley, former senior vice-president and partner with Fleishman-Hillard.

Evangelista's mission is to help expand Resolute by attracting, developing and enlisting people with diverse and relevant experience in the healthcare industry.

Laurie Hurley, managing director of Resolute New York, said: "We're thrilled to welcome Beatrice as a healthcare specialist in the New York office. Resolute's goal is to attract the best and brightest across the industry, in order to provide our clients with the most insightful counsel and the highest quality of service. Beatrice has the experience and the passion that our clients tell us they want in their ideal agency partner."

Evangelista has more than seven years of healthcare communications experience from several leading agencies, which include Biosector 2, Euro RSCG Middleberg and Widmeyer Communications, as well as not-for-profit health organisation Global Alliance for TB Drug Development.

Evangelista said of her appointment: "Resolute stood out to me because of its entrepreneurial, people-first culture.  It's exciting to be among a team of people who really care about what's happening in healthcare, and who are encouraged to bring both business savvy and creativity to impact client results. It's an exciting time to bring what Resolute offers to the healthcare industry, and I'm thrilled to be part of the US team."
