Roche's Richard Goosey joins Kantar Health in senior UK role

The consultancy also appoints Dr Florian Eichmann as business unit director for treatment to its Germany operations

Kantar Health has made two senior European appointments, hiring former Roche executive Richard Goosey as senior director of advanced methods and appointing Dr Florian Eichmann as business unit director for treatment value.

Dr Eichmann joins the healthcare consultancy firm's German operations from contract research organisation (CRO) Kendle, where he led European health outcomes, and Goosey moves to Kantar Health UK from Roche UK.

Other than his role at Roche, Goosey has previous experience as head of business intelligence and commercial planning for Lundbeck Pharmaceuticals UK, specialising in psychiatry and neurology.

He is also a Fellow of the Market Research Society (MRS) and a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society.

“We are delighted to welcome Richard into the Kantar Health family,” said Jim Needell, managing director, Kantar Health UK. “His vast experience in designing complex studies and consulting with senior clients continues our evolution as a business to better meet the changing needs of our clients.”

In his new role Dr Eichmann will be responsible for the health outcomes, public health, drug surveillance, clinical research and medical device/diagnostic groups of Kantar Health.

Prior to his time at Kendle, he was a CRO-based senior clinical research associate and project co-ordinator. He also acted as pharma-based medical affairs and science consultant.

“Florian combines strong scientific background with a client orientation focus and understanding of regulatory and stakeholder requirements in the clinical and market access areas,” said Werner Guminski, CEO, Kantar Health Commercial Strategy.
