Spectrum Thea signs sales force agreement in UK

North 51 will develop iPad app to support order taking

Ophthalmology specialist Spectrum Thea has entered a contract sales force agreement with the resourcing division of North 51 as part of expansion plans in the UK.

North 51 will offer a full range of contract team solutions to Spectrum Thea, a joint venture between Laboratoires Thea and the UK based Spectrum.

The venture’s eye care products include Blephagel for eye hygiene and Hyabak for dry eyes.

As part of the project, North 51 will make use of new digital technologies by developing an iPad application to support order taking.

“The additional team selling into pharmacy is an exciting development,” said Philip Lewis Williams, managing director of Spectrum Thea, “as we are strengthening our over-the-counter ophthalmic brands such as Otrivine Antistine.”

He added: “North 51 quickly understood our requirements and has been able to complement a tailored and professional contract team with innovative supporting technology from their digital division.”

Paul Dermody, managing director of North 51, said: “Our focus will be on providing a range of flexible solutions as the partnership develops and we hope to play a part in Spectrum Thea’s ongoing success.”
