More than 40 agencies, patients groups and pharma firms, among them Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Roche, have made the shortlist for the 2012 Communique awards.
The annual communications awards event, run by PMLiVE publisher PMGroup, will take place on July 5 in London and this year there has been a strong focus on European work among the finalists.
Over 70 per cent of entries were run across Europe and continue Communique's high entry standards with “first class work from industry and comms agencies,” PMGroup said.
Chairman of the judges, and CEO of Virgo Health, Sarah Matthews commented: “Challenging times present a real opportunity for the best work to stand out from the crowd and this has certainly been the case in a year when both the quantity and calibre of entries has been extremely high.
“Ongoing trends in this year's entries were the continued integration of appropriate digital tools/channels and, most reassuringly of all, pharma participating as a valuable and legitimate partner in progressing critical healthcare issues, thereby helping to enhance the overall reputation of the industry.”
Held in London on July 5, the annual awards are a benchmark of excellence for healthcare communications, championing the highest possible standards and helping to shape future thinking.
Released this week, the full Communiqué shortlist includes 43 firms, spanning communications, industry, patient groups and trade bodies.
Nominated work included efforts from agencies MHP Health Mandate, TogoRun, Litmus MME and Euro RSCG Life Medicom.
The full list of nominees is available on the Communiqué website, where you can also find full details of how to attend the event.
