Healthcare market research agency The Research Partnership has launched The Access Partnership, a market access agency that will provide services for the pharmaceutical, biotech and medtech industries.

The new agency, which will be headquartered in London, with offices in the US and Singapore, will help develop value strategies for manufacturers and will include pricing, market access and payer engagement support.

“We are delighted to be establishing this new company alongside The Research Partnership’s research and consulting capabilities,” said Mary Assimakopoulos, founding director of The Research Partnership.

“Understanding and developing an effective market access strategy is now critical to the success of a global healthcare brand and therefore an important incremental addition to our service offerings.”

The new venture follows two recent senior appointments by The Research Partnership: Rob White joins as global director of market access and Dr Shrinivas Rao Mukku joins as global director of pricing and reimbursement.

White has more than 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry and has held various roles at Sanofi Aventis and MSD, where he developed market access strategies for brands in areas such as diabetes, HIV, oncology, cardiovascular and devices.

Commenting on his appointment, White said: “I am extremely excited about this new opportunity and look forward to taking on this leading position for a global market access business. I recognise the synergies between market research and market access – this new company means we can offer a truly end-to-end business solution to our clients”.

Mukku has 18 years of research management, training and consultancy experience in Europe and South East Asia. Since 2006 he has focused on developing pricing, launch and value strategies for pharma companies, which has included 37 products, covering oncology, dermatology and orphan drugs.
