UMG acquires Europharma

Will attain the firm’s e-learning programmes

EuropharmaUniversal Medica Group (UMG) has acquired medical training firm Europharma in a bid to “pursue greater ambitions” and complies with the EU’s ‘Horizon 2020’ strategic framework to boost the added value of innovative services.

The group will also take over Europharma’s graphic design and technology efforts for the conception and implementation of e-learning and web products.

Nathalie Cesar, founder of Europharma, said: “I am thrilled and proud that this agreement has come to fruition.

“Within Universal Medica Group, Europharma will now have the resources to pursue its greater ambitions whilst preserving its dedication to innovation and this is due to the group’s [UMG] exceptional medical and technological competences.”

Europharma was founded in 1990 and specialises in strategic consulting, pedagogy, science, health and technology, and the firm has created educational material as well as the management of medical training content and training programmes.

Rafi Mardachti, CEO of UMG, said: “The complementarity of the services and the extent of the skills provide UMG with more expertise, allowing the group to further diversify and energise their innovative potential within the health sector.”

Europharma is the fourth branch of UMG and joins medical affairs branch Universal Medica, innovation and new technologies branch Universal Biotech and health communication agency Cherry for Life Science.
