United Drug buys Dutch packaging group for EUR 20.9m

Irish-headquartered pharmaceutical and healthcare services group United Drug has acquired Dutch-based packaging group Pharma Logistic Investment (PLI) in a deal said to be worth EUR 20.9m.

Irish-headquartered pharmaceutical and healthcare services group United Drug has acquired Dutch-based packaging group Pharma Logistic Investment (PLI) in a deal said to be worth EUR 20.9m.

United said it paid EUR 15.4m in cash, with another EUR 5.5m to come depending on performance targets over the next three years.

PLI specialises in packaging for pharmaceutical and healthcare products.

United made its first acquisition in Europe of a Belgian packaging company in Q1 2007.
