Uptake Strategies and Sanofi win capability development prize at PMEA

Judges praised their programme’s pragmatic design and huge scalability


Uptake Strategies and Sanofi were in high spirits at this week’s PMEA Awards 2017, following a win in the Excellence in Capability Development category.

The duo developed an interactive three-day training programme to expand multichannel marketing capabilities across Sanofi’s AMESA region, creating internal, ‘highly-motivated’ trainers.

The initiative saw these trainers offering tailored programmes to different teams across separate disease areas.

PMEA’s judges said: “This project really stood out for us because it created champions in pairs and it is pragmatically designed and executed to a high calibre.”

“The project’s scalability was huge and that really stunned us, the team produced a winning project, which was very hard to fault.”

Meanwhile Celgene took home a highly commended certificate in the category for its collaborative project Creating Value Together.

The programme saw Celgene create a set of learning and development interactions that encouraged employees to interact with its customers on a personal level.

Commenting on the programme, the judges said this “excellent capability programme delivered strong results for everyone involved”, and “The refreshing execution of this programme won us over because of its experimental nature based on classroom learning”.

Run by PMLiVE’s publisher the PMGroup, PMEA exists to reward responsible customer-centric business practices that ensure treatments and advice provide patients with meaningful outcomes.

The programme has been specifically designed to recognise and commend excellence, best practice and innovation in local, European and international markets.
