VCCP Health takes lead at PM Society Awards

London agency narrowly edges past Langland, Saatchi & Saatchi Health and Woolley Pau Gyro

VCCP Health narrowly edged past the competition at the PM Society Advertising Awards on Friday, thanks to its work on Teva's multiple sclerosis blockbuster Copaxone.

The London-based advertising agency picked up the Secondary Care Campaign, International Core Campaign and Secondary Care Advertisement awards at 2013 Awards.

“We were absolutely delighted with our wins,” VCCP Health's managing director Paul Phillips told PMLiVE, adding: “It was great that our clients from Teva were over from Holland to enjoy the event.”

VCCP's haul of three awards just put it ahead of Langland, Saatchi & Saatchi Health and Woolley Pau Gyro, which each celebrated two wins at the Grosvenor House hotel in London on Friday.

There were prizes for work for AbbVie and IDIS for Langland; Becton, Dickinson & Company and AstraZeneca for Saatchi & Saatchi Health; and Teva Europe and Napp for Woolley Pau Gyro.

The Awards, now in their 28th year, saw a broader than usual spread of winners, with the 19 prizes shared between 15 agencies.

Neil Smith, PM Society Advertising Awards chairman and head of creative copy at Solaris Health, said: “More than just a ceremony, the PM Society Advertising Awards remains the only opportunity, annually, to see the best of the best in this key aspect of marketing communications, with the entrants' exhibition and categories judged by peers, industry and healthcare professionals.”
