Virgo expands medical education team

Virgo HEALTH has strengthened its health education offering with the appointment of Katherine Mantell and Adam Pittard

Virgo HEALTH has strengthened its health education offering with the appointment of Katherine Mantell as editorial director and Adam Pittard as senior account manager. Both will be responsible for delivering medical education and PR programmes.

The new appointments reflect the rapid growth of the agency's education division over the last year and, says joint CEO Angie Wiles, reinforces the commitment it made in 2009 to make Virgo a market-leading medical communications partner.

Mantell joins Virgo from Acumed, part of the KnowledgePoint360 group. She has more than a decade of experience in creating global strategic communication plans and implementing tactical delivery of various education programmes across a range of therapy areas.

Adam joins from Solaris Health where he helped deliver some key strategic accounts. Prior to this he worked in the client service team at Medical Action Communications.

Paul Archer, business unit director for Virgo HEALTH Education said: "The additions of Katherine and Adam are significant as they not only extend our Virgo HEALTH Education offer but will also help us ensure that existing and new clients across our business continue to receive exceptional delivery without compromise."
