Virgo Health Education won The Succinct Communications Award for Medical Communications Consultancy of the Year at the Communiqué Awards last week.
The agency, which only formed in 2009, secured the top spot thanks to its creative approach to scientific engagement and the massive impact it has made on medical education throughout the year.
Helped in no small part by nine new appointments, which effectively doubled the size of the team, Virgo Health Education dramatically exceeded its fee targets, won 4/5 pitches and enjoyed a 100 per cent clientretention rate.
Impressing the judges with its engaging and integrated programmes, the team has managed to put content at the heart of all its innovatively designed projects. One judge said: “The agency’s digitally led medical education offering makes it distinctive. A solid performance supported by a well-thought-out, future-focused strategy, stable logic and core principles.”
As a close contender and one to watch for the future, Lucid was awarded a Highly Commended in this category. Part of its standout offercame through the creation of the ‘Win-Win’ programme, which brings together a range of experts to help create clinically valuable education campaigns for its clients.
Its pioneering blend of realisation and passion has helped the agency achieve over 65 per cent growth over the last five years, 22 newappointments over the last two years, 100 per cent client retention, three new accounts and two new clients.
