Zeno Group acquires 3 Monkeys Communications

Strikes deal as a part of the agency’s continued global expansion

Zeno Group has acquired 3 Monkeys Communications to accelerate its global expansion, with the expanded agency to be known as 3 Monkeys | Zeno.

Financial details have not been published but the merger takes effect immediately, with Zeno’s UK team having already moved into 3 Monkey’s offices in Soho, London.

Barby Siegel, Zeno’s chief executive officer, said: “We are scaling our unique Zeno brand and values so that we can serve clients where they need us, regionally and globally.

“With 3 Monkeys | Zeno, we now have a more powerful platform from which to grow in Europe and beyond.”

The US-based integrated communications agency is a part of DJE Holdings and operates across several sectors including healthcare.

The firm began its global expansion in 2012, launching Zeno Europe, with the UK as its headquarters and Zeno Asia, which now has eight offices across India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.

3 Monkeys | Zeno is now a mid-sized global independent communications agency with 75 people working in the UK and almost 400 worldwide.

Angie Moxham, founder of 3 Monkeys Communications and now ‘chief monkey’ at Zeno Europe, said that the London agency had been looking for globalisation opportunities in response to growing client demand.

She added: “We can now support current and future clients with our special monkey magic around the world, with people who think and behave in the same way as us.”

The newly-formed 3 Monkeys | Zeno will create strategic multichannel campaigns for business and consumer audiences on a global scale while aiming to retain “that personalised, senior-level attention and highly-collaborative approach that clients rely on”.

Siegel added: “Cultural fit was of paramount importance to Angie and to me. The similarities in our approach and business philosophy are uncanny.

“Together we will be a formidable and fearless communications force.”
