Packer Forbes News January 2016

An influx of new business has resulted in a recruitment drive and Packer Forbes is delighted to announce three recent additions to its growing team.

Andrew Moss

Andrew Moss has joined the company as a Senior Account Director with ten years’ experience in pharmaceuticals, spanning both client and agency roles. Starting his career as a nurse, Andrew worked in a variety of areas including neuroscience, intensive therapy and HIV. Additionally he was one of the founding members of an HIV charity that specialises in providing accurate, evidence-based information to patients and healthcare professionals. Andrew held senior roles within the NHS, working as a clinical advisor prior to moving into the pharmaceutical industry as a medical science liaison specialist. Andrew then embarked on a career in medical communication, drawing on his wide therapy area experience which now includes oncology, diabetes, HIV, HCV, gastroenterology and psychiatry. He is also a Certified Medical Publications Professional and member of the International Society of Medical Publications Professionals.

Amy Gower

Before joining Packer Forbes as a Senior Account Executive, Amy Gower worked at an integrated PR and Public Affairs communications agency. Her role included disease awareness campaigns, patient surveys, event planning, steering group management, broadcast and print media engagement and stakeholder liaison. She is a graduate in Politics and Parliamentary Studies from the University of Leeds, where she gained first-hand insight into the UK and US government health systems during her placement year. Amy is looking forward to working on a range of therapy areas including pulmonary arterial hypertension and HIV.

Sarah Love
Sarah Love has started at Packer Forbes as an Account Coordinator, having graduated from the University of Manchester with a BSc in Physiology. A broad understanding of the life sciences inspired Sarah to focus primarily on Immunology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience. Her dissertation describes the characteristics of dendritic cells and their role in HIV and she also completed a bioinformatics project analysing the sensorimotor system in rodents. Time spent as a Project Coordinator, supporting Project and Account Managers, gave Sarah an introduction to the communications field where she is now able to combine her passion for science and communication.
