Top pharma minds including C-Level executives from Boehringer
Ingelheim, Baxter, Janssen and UCB, together with a range of notable academics
and stakeholders, make up the panel.
When asked why he was getting involved with the awards judge
Allan Hillgrove, Board Member for Sales and Marketing at Boehringer Ingelheim
said; “Innovation is crucial for the pharmaceutical industry in order to allow
it to continue to contribute to the health of patients, and to society. This
innovation takes many forms, all of which should add value to our multitude of customers.
It is my pleasure to be involved as a judge of the eyeforpharma awards which
celebrate this innovation.”
Adding to this sentiment, judge Lode Dewulf, Chief
Patient Officer at UCB pointed out; “recognizing patient-centric innovation
that brings real value is an important way to support leadership and best
practice in this area,” while Ray Chepesiuk, Commissioner of the PAAB
commented; “celebrating innovation that drives customer value is a good
direction for this industry. We should
recognize truly innovative people as a model to make their high standards the
norm.”
The newly created awards differ from other pharmaceutical
award ceremonies: instead of focussing on sales and marketing performance, the
focus is on patient service, customer centricity and innovating for value.
Commenting on this approach, Matt Portch, VP of
Commercial Model Innovation for Pfizer expanded: “The dramatic evolution of the
healthcare marketplace demands a new and different way to address their needs.
I was glad to see that eyeforpharma has identified that as well, and that they
are focusing on innovation, patients and customer centricity, as I believe
those areas of focus will be the key to pharma’s relevance and success in the
future.
Nominations for the awards will be open until 20th December 2013 and
winners will be announced on 18th March 2014 in Barcelona.
