Are you suffering from templatitis?

May 16, 2017 |

- PMLiVE
At times, it feels like procedures are designed to frustrate, and templates often hinder rather than help. Especially in strategic planning, where a certain degree of creativity and innovation is required to move a business forward, templates can be the death of progress.

Duncan Ferguson, managing director of the Lucid Strategic Consultancy, calls this – templatitis. Especially in a market as complex and diverse as pharma, templated approaches to business strategy can stand in the way of fresh thinking. “It is no wonder that the challenge of reflecting our heterogenous strategic plans in homogenous templates is causing such traumatic symptoms”, posits Duncan.

In Duncan’s recent blog for PMLIVE he proposes three approaches to combat templatitis, which you can read more about here.

If your business suffers from templatitis and is in need of a strategic overhaul, you can get in touch with Duncan at duncan@lucid-group.co.uk or on +44 (0)1494 755707
