It’s been altogether more magic for Lucid Group in 2019

As Lucid closes its doors to 2019, there’s a lot to be proud of.

2019 has been a landmark year for the Group as they embarked on ambitious growth plans which added more magic to the mix with two acquisitions – Bluedog and HealthCare21. This has allowed Lucid to gain new creative and digital capabilities and increase its footprint in the UK, Asia Pacific and Middle East.

Lucid also consolidated its London offices with a move to Middlesex House in Fitzrovia, London. This move has brought everyone together under one roof to share ideas, innovate and draw from each other’s energy. It has already played host to two Lucid celebrations.

Growth has therefore been a key feature of 2019. Not only has Lucid grown through acquisitions; it has also continued to expand its client base. This has driven record levels of recruitment, with sixty-five new employees being added to its family this year. There have also been an impressive forty-one promotions; a testament to the comprehensive learning and development programmes rolled out this year, helping to develop its business leaders of the future.

Lucid SPIRIT, Lucid’s charity working group, has also kept very busy throughout 2019, running various fundraising events in aid of Wycombe Homeless Connection. From Tough Mudders to bake-offs and even a pub quiz, they have managed to raise nearly two thousand pounds for a great cause.

However, no year is complete without recognising everyone that makes the magic happen and Lucid achieved this by giving back something that money simply cannot buy – time. Thanks to its Summer Friday concept employees were encouraged to spread their hours throughout the week, enabling them to leave at 2pm on alternate Fridays in July and August. In addition to this, everyone was also given three extra days of holiday to cover the Christmas office shutdown period in the UK – enabling people to take additional days off elsewhere to spend valuable time with family and friends.

We have achieved so much; from acquiring new businesses and clients, to moving to new offices and integrating new teams. However, what I am most proud of is the way everyone has managed and dealt with the change this year. By pulling together in the same direction everyone has continued to deliver high-quality, high-impact programmes for our clients that have improved health outcomes and transformed patients’ lives.”
