Lighthouse Medical Communications US bolster their senior scientific team

Lighthouse Medical Communications US, part of the award-winning Lucid Group of companies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Marc Pondel, PhD as Executive Medical Science Director. Marc will oversee and guide the Lighthouse medical writing teams and bring high-level scientific and clinical strategic insight for their clients. 

“As Lighthouse expands its footprint in the USA we must ensure we build a platform of scientific capability that can continually deliver magical programmes for our clients. Dr Pondel brings not only a background of scientific excellence but a rich experience of creative communication approaches, which can truly impact patient outcomes.” said Andy Willmer, Managing Director of the fast-growing agency. 

Marc has impressive academic credentials on both sides of the Atlantic, having held teaching and research positions at the University of London (where he was Associate Professor of Molecular Medicine until 2006), the University of Oxford, and the University of California (UCLA). He has blended academic and research insights with extensive experience gained from working as a senior-level strategic medical leader and advisor in medical and health communications agencies, leading teams in number of key therapeutic areas such endocrinology, neurology, oncology, hematology, women’s health and rare diseases.
