Lucid bolsters its senior leadership team

October 3, 2016 |

Lucid Group has had a successful summer attracting top talent to its senior leadership team with the appointment of Shula Sarner (Executive Scientific Director) and Tanya Goodyear (Division Director, Immunology).

- PMLiVE
Shula began working in medical communications in the USA following a successful research career in academia and the biotech industry in the UK, Germany and the USA. She was involved in strategic medical communications and programmes across a variety of therapeutic areas in the USA, as well as numerous successful global launches. Before returning to the UK in 2015, Shula was the director of scientific services at a large independent medical communications agency, leading scientific strategy and business development across teams, and building the new scientific team. “Coming back to the UK after 13 happy and successful years in America has given me the opportunity to learn about the industry beyond that in the USA. I joined Lucid because of its unique offering and focus on changing patient outcomes, which is ultimately what we all strive for.”

Tanya joins Lucid with 16 years of experience in healthcare communications and medical education. Over her career she has led the strategic development and management of international and domestic-based medical communications programmes. Most recently, Tanya was the director of commercial strategy at inVentiv Medical Communications, and over her 9 years there held various other roles both in the UK and USA. “Lucid immediately felt like the perfect team for me – the passion, innovation and creativity running through everything Lucid does translates into world-leading medical education programmes that really do change behaviour.”
