Tenth Lucid Academy module delivered – nurturing talent and driving excellence

Celebrating the success of the Lucid Academy

- PMLiVE
To constantly deliver industry-leading medical education, the people behind the programmes have to constantly improve and evolve the way they work. As Jack Welch (former General Electric CEO) said: “An organisation’s ability to learn, and translate that learning into action rapidly, is the ultimate competitive advantage.”

With this in mind, Lucid Group works hard to maintain its edge through a targeted strategy to drive and support learning. Katherine Duxbury (Lucid Director of Writing Excellence) leads the coordination and delivery of the Lucid Academy – a key component of Lucid’s broad training and development programme. Katherine explains that the aim of the Academy is to invest in Lucid’s people to ensure excellence and foster collaboration.

Since its launch in early 2016, the Academy has delivered ten tailored training modules for staff in writing, account management and support roles. These modules have covered themes from engendering empowerment and accountability, to preparing exceptional proposals, to writing brilliant content. The Academy has something for everyone, with all modules designed to supplement the valuable on-the-job training that all Lucid employees receive. “The most valuable and important assets we have are the people we employ. This is why Lucid is committed to broadening knowledge and skills and developing talent through the Academy,” Katherine explains.

A further six modules will be delivered in the coming months. By the end of 2016, Lucid Group employees will have accumulated over 200 hours’ worth of training through the Academy alone.
