GCI Health named Small Consultancy of the Year at the 2018 Communiqué Awards, following significant growth and success for the firm’s London based European hub.

02 July 2018, London – Specialist communications agency GCI Health was named Small Consultancy of the Year at the 2018 Communiqué Awards, following significant growth and success for the firm’s London based European hub.  

Communiqué celebrates outstanding work in healthcare communications, showcasing the very best the industry has to offer across local, European and international markets. Communiqué Award winners are recognised for having made a significant difference – to patients, to stakeholders and influencers, and to the reputation of the industry itself.  

The judging panel, made up of eminent industry leaders, said: “This year we saw a very diverse range of agencies and GCI Health came into the room at the very end of the day to present and they absolutely nailed it. Both in terms of their business performance with a very clear strategy, 60% increase in revenue and a 96% retention rate for staff, which is truly impressive in what must have been a really busy year. But almost more importantly than that, their mantra that ‘One of us is no greater than all of us’, is pulled through in both their values and their behaviours. They were truly impressive.”

In London, GCI Heath opened doors for business in 2013 as a then new hub office of WPP’s only global health-dedicated public relations agency. The agency has since quadrupled in size, growth that has continued into 2018 with the agency’s headcount now standing above Communiqué’s definition of a small agency.
