I am an editorial assistant. In short, my job role involves offering support to the editorial team across the journals published at Hayward, as well as helping editorially on project work and undertaking general administrative tasks. My work includes a plethora of activities, including but not limited to, commissioning content for the journals, editing and preparing copy, liaising with authors, proofreading, ordering images etc.

3. What are the top three things you enjoy most about your role?

Building relationships with our editorial board members and authors; it is really nice to converse with new and inspiring people who have dedicated themselves to improving the lives of patients.   That we all work as a team to make sure the journal issues are completed on time and are of good quality. It is satisfying to be challenged to make a journal that our audience will want to read and to then see the end product.   The variety of tasks I am given and I know that this will only increase when I have gained more experience! I am looking forward to this.
