Hayward Medical Communications expands with eight new starters joining the company within the last 12 months

Hayward Medical Communications welcomes to the team….

Bethan Du-Mont – Account Associate
Bethan joined the client services team as an account associate, to help effectively and efficiently run client projects and assist in the development of proposals for new business. Since joining Hayward one month ago, Bethan finds everyone to be very friendly, dedicated and experienced.  

‘I enjoy communicating with a variety of interesting people and the wide variety of different projects that I’ve worked on so far.’  

Emma Homes – Account Associate
After completing her PhD, Emma gained experience within the life sciences sector. Her previous roles were centred on delivering excellent levels of client services, something that she now brings to her role at Hayward. Emma enjoys how passionate, dedicated and motivated Hayward is as a company. Her role as an account associate involves working within the client services team to manage a variety of projects and proposals, for both pharmaceutical and third sector clients, delivering these at high quality and on time.  

‘The three top things I enjoy about my role are the variety, client interaction and learning something new every day.’  

Elaine McBride – Financial Controller
Elaine joined Hayward just over three months ago and, as financial controller, assists with all aspects of Hayward’s finances. Her role is varied and busy and, Elaine has built up a great working relationship with colleagues and clients.  

‘I find Hayward a friendly, professional and flexible company to be a part of which I really enjoy.’  

Harriet Reynolds – Advertising and Subscriptions Co-ordinator
Harriet joined Hayward with eight years’ experience within the publishing sector. Prior to joining Hayward, she worked for Cambridge University Press as part of the journals team. Responsible for advertising space within Hayward’s journals and managing the subscriptions to journals is the main tasks of Harriet’s role. Harriet also looks after all the social media for the company, the company websites and supports the Editorial team. She has been with Hayward for 11 months and enjoys how varied her role is.  

‘I find my role exciting, very varied and sometimes quite challenging – something I love.’  

Juliana Carey – Designer
One of two in-house designers, Juliana is accountable for the design of journals (print, iPad and ePub) and any project design that is required. Juliana has a wealth of experience in publishing and design, having been a graphic designer for six years. She has been with Hayward for 10 weeks and enjoys the variety of design jobs her role has to offer.  

‘I’ve found the team at Hayward welcoming, dedicated and very knowledgeable.’  

Nicola McEleney – Editorial Assistant
Nicola started with Hayward six weeks ago, supporting the editorial team with journal production Nicola is quickly becoming familiar with Hayward’s journals and is enjoying working with a range of people and the variety of tasks her role involves.  

‘I have found everyone friendly, helpful and informative.’  

Rebecca Ayres – Managing Editor
Responsible for managing several of Hayward’s journals and providing editorial support to a variety of healthcare communication projects, Rebecca has been with the company for 11 months. The top three things Rebecca enjoys about her role are the variety of work, interesting subject matter and working with a great team.  

‘The three words I would use to describe Hayward as a company are forward-thinking, flexible and conscientious.’  

Sara Fuentes – Editorial Project Manager
Sara joined the Hayward team in June this year. After completing her PhD at the University of East Anglia, Sara worked first as a research assistant and then as a postdoctoral researcher at University College London. Following her career in academia, she worked as a freelance scientific editor prior to joining Hayward as an editorial project manager. She is part of the management team for the journal Dermatology in Practice (DIP), and provides editorial support for other journal and project-related content.

‘I enjoy content planning, commissioning and copy editing and finds Hayward a friendly and diverse company to be a part of.’
