Hayward Medical refreshes branding and launches new website

Earlier this year, Hayward Medical Communications decided to modernise and refresh its branding. We felt that our logo, an integral part of the company’s heritage, still reflected our ethos so, rather than a complete redesign, we aimed for an evolution of the brand.

We decided to add our five brand values to the Hayward branding, in order to show new clients, and remind existing ones, that we are committed to delivering effective solutions using those values.

Insight: we support our partners with valuable insights provided by our scientifically trained, ABPI-compliant team members who all have industry, market and customer knowledge and understanding. ·

Experience: our team has solid relationships with an extensive network of key opinion leaders, and our medical publishing heritage gives us an enviable level of expertise in a wide range of therapy areas.

Flexibility: we have the internal resources to be flexible and reactive, which enables us to deliver high-quality projects and respond to changing customer needs.

Partnership: we are a reliable and effective partner, with complementary sets of skills, first-rate understanding of healthcare systems and strong relationships with healthcare professionals and patient organisations.

Integrity: we embrace the ethos of evidence-based medicine, both as individuals and as a company. We value integrity and are a committed and responsible partner.

Our choice of brand values was based on customer and market research with clients and aspiring clients, their experience of working with us and what they value most about Hayward.

The psychology and power of colours are important in branding. The colours of the Hayward brand values are based on chakra colours and their corresponding meanings. ·

Blue is the colour of the throat chakra – self-expression, expression of truth, creative expression, communication, perfect forms and patterns.

Orange is the colour of the sacral chakra – emotions and creativity.

Sky blue is the colour of the third eye chakra – intuition, extrasensory perception, inner wisdom.

Green is the colour of the heart chakra – relating, integration, compassion.

Yellow is the colour of the solar plexus chakra – mental activities, intellect, personal power, will.

We also recently redesigned our website ( The new website has a more personal touch and offers a more user-friendly and high-impact experience. We have created a ‘meet the team’ page which allows visitors to learn about all the members of the team and find the right person to contact. The new website features our brand values, and we used the brand value colours and creative flair to better showcase our print and digital products.

So why not take a tour, meet the team, let us know what you think and get in touch to discuss your communication needs

The ADHD in practice editorial board looks to represent this multi-disciplinary team providing insight and opinion. In this video series the editorial board members offer insights into the challenges faced by people with ADHD, the impact on their lives (and the people around them) and how the ADHD community can work together to provide the personalised 'scaffolding' from their perspective. Find out what first sparked their interest in ADHD, what inspires them to improve patients' outcomes and what they hope ADHD services of the future will look like....their utopia.
