Bedrock Group launches SPARKling new graduate programme

How do you keep high-calibre graduates motivated and engaged?

Two sparklers. Image by Ethan Hoover,

August sees the launch of SPARK, Bedrock Group’s new graduate development programme, designed to provide our graduates with a solid foundation for a career in medical communications. The programme reflects the characteristics and behaviours that we seek in all our team members:

  • Spirited
  • Proactive
  • Agile
  • Resourceful
  • Knowledgeable

Krista Lalli

Bedrock is known for its creative approach to medical communications and education, and so it is fitting that the first graduate to embark on the SPARK journey is Krista Lalli, who joins Bedrock Group as an Integrated Designer.

Krista recently graduated from a Graphic Design degree at Farnborough University. In 2018, as part of her degree, she completed a summer internship with Bedrock. Krista impressed the team so much with her creativity, design knowledge and excellent communication skills, we invited her to join us permanently!

What attracted Krista to Bedrock and our SPARK programme?

After such a great experience during my Multichannel Internship at Bedrock last summer, I was keen to come back and join the team on a permanent basis. As well as gaining a great deal of experience in my specialist area, the internship gave me an insight into Bedrock’s company values. I was really attracted to the way that Bedrock values the growth of individuals and I look forward to continuing to work with the team and further improve my skills within the SPARK programme.

We offer our graduates one of two programmes, to further support their key qualities and varied skill-sets.

1-year Specialist Programme

For graduates with a specific area of interest (e.g. medical writing), the programme provides a broad understanding of all aspects of our business, whilst maintaining a focus on their specialism.

2-year Foundation Programme

For graduates with a less specialised background, the programme provides experience in all areas of our work and enables Bedrock and the candidate to identify key strengths that bring most value to them and the business.

SPARK allows graduates to rotate around the different teams within the Bedrock Group: Client Services, Scientific Services, Multichannel Communications, and Origins, our health experience research business. Induction projects and assignments are designed to encourage responsibility and accountability, whilst inspiring high-impact outputs that provide measurable benefit across the Group.
