Another ‘innovation’ award for an emotive project with Astellas

Proud to see Astellas Innovation Challenge win a Communiqué Award last week

emotive were thrilled to share the stage with Astellas to collect another Communiqué award last Thursday at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. The ‘Astellas Innovation Challenge’ picked up the award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility for Not for Profit/Pro Bono Programmes. The project was developed to engage young people about the exciting potential of STEM careers, challenging Key Stage 4 schoolchildren to develop a concept for a smartphone app encouraging healthy living. The competition was supported by a series of app development workshops at schools around the country.

emotive were involved in the project from inception, helping to develop the programme structure and define the judging criteria, providing guidance to entrants, mentoring the finalists and participating in the fantastic finals day at the Royal Institute. emotive are now working with Astellas and the winning school team on the development of the app.

Chris Edmonds, Managing Director of emotive, commented:

It was fantastic to see this incredibly successful, innovative, pro-bono programme collect an award for Astellas and for Andy to be up there on stage representing the emotive team. We have all worked hard to ensure the success of this programme and the level of interest in the competition from schools along with the quality of the finalists has been a real inspiration. It’s also been a lot of fun working with a great bunch of students as our ‘clients’.
