On Sunday 21st February, whilst others were enjoying a lazy Sunday lie-in, we were up bright and early, carb-loading and warming up for the Hampton Court half-marathon 2016. Over the past few months, after a day of running our accounts here at emotive or attending various congresses around Europe, we’ve been on a strict training schedule taking multi-tasking to a whole new level. With rucksacks in tow, we regularly faced the bracing winds, dodged the crowds (and lamp posts!) along the busy streets of central London. Runs featured guest appearances from the members of the emotive team, along with iconic London landmarks to keep us distracted.

As much as we love a challenge and running in temperatures as low as 4°C, it was also in the name of a good cause, and was part of the ongoing annual fundraising activities for emotive’s 2016 nominated charity, The Brain Tumour Charity. As well as providing incredible support to those living with brain tumours and their family, The Brain Tumour Charity also fund pioneering research into helping understand how and why brain tumours form and the development of new treatments.

After hobbling into the office on Monday morning, medals in hand, we had raised over £1000 for the charity, making all the training and after-effects worth it.
