emotive. is pleased to announce the continued growth of our Client Services and Medical Writing teams, by welcoming Aki Okazaki PhD and Ian Seymour PhD.
With over 9 years’ experience in medical communications, Aki Okazaki who is joining as an Associate Director, has worked in a broad range of therapeutic areas including haematology, infectious diseases, oncology, psychiatric conditions, rare diseases and skin diseases. Aki has a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from Bristol University and a BSc (Hons) in Medical Microbiology from the University of Edinburgh. She brings a breadth of knowledge in pre-launch strategy and tactical implementation, KOL development, patient engagement, disease awareness and CME programmes, working with both marketing and medical clients. Her passions include delivering quality of work over and above the client’s expectations, and also improving patient outcomes.
Our new Senior Medical Writer, Ian Seymour, has a PhD in Biochemistry from University College London and a BSc (Hons) in Applied Biology from Nottingham Trent University. With an eclectic career spanning work as a microbiologist, government scientist and cancer researcher – along with a 10-year residency in Italy – Ian’s true calling is writing about medicine. Working for a number of award-winning agencies, he has broad experience across multiple therapy areas including diabetes, haematology, immunology, iron deficiency, oncology and vaccines. Ian also has a keen interest in all things technology led and his strong ethos in editorial quality will ensure emotive. continue to deliver first-class medical communications.
