emotive adds to medical team with new Scientific Lead and Associate Medical Writer

Following a busy year and with a number of new Global and EMEA account wins including two pre-launch products for rare diseases, emotive has strengthened the medical team with the addition of Kate Haynes as Scientific Lead, and Talia Coren as Associate Medical Writer

With a PhD in Inorganic Biochemistry, Kate joins the team from international healthcare consultancy Chameleon Communications, where she worked across publications and medical communications. Kate is experienced in a wide range of therapy areas, including immunology, specifically Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and psoriatic arthritis, in ophthalmology, including retinal diseases, glaucoma and dry eye disease, in rare diseases such as Gaucher disease and Cushing’s disease and in hepatitis C. She also has experience in cardiovascular disease, haematology and infectious diseases.

Talia studied Human Biology at the University of Birmingham with a focus on Medical Pathways, followed by a Masters in Forensic Medical Sciences at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Gill Boucher, Medical Director at emotive commented “We are delighted that Kate and Talia have joined the team. Kate’s wealth of experience is a great addition to our existing capabilities in scientific communications and medical education, and Talia’s strong scientific background will help us continue to excel at developing compelling narratives and engaging activities. At emotive, developing the right team is key to our continued delivery of strategic communications advice and high quality medical communications.”
